If there isn’t space in your home try a local library or homework club. Visit the local library with your child and encourage them to use it. They can use computers there to get on the internet if you don’t have access at home. The internet can be great for looking up information and finding out more about a topic, but do note that it shouldn't be used as a substitute for doing the work.
The Homework Club has been a unique journey impacting thousands of people since 2009. We set out to create a new learning environment for all students who ever arrived at our doors - we never had any limits on the age, background or learning potential of anyone. In setting up The Homework Club, I always wanted to create an environment where we all continued to learn from the hugely committed.

Home Learning You will be aware that the school sets homework for your child on a regular basis and we are keen to see that this “home learning” enhances their understanding of the subjects they study and adds value to the work they do in school. We recognise that homework, particularly when there appears to be a lot to do, can be daunting for some children, particularly those in Year 7.
Denis O'Connor has a Homework Club which runs every Tuesday and Thursday after school in the Career Centre. Math assistance is provided on Tuesday! Homework Information; At St. Helen's we provide children with homework to assist with their learning. The homework set will be to consolidate what the children have been learning in school.
